ADULT KUNG FU (Self Defense)

Our program offers a safe and positive atmosphere to learn marital arts training allow you to experience a profound, life-changing truth; strength comes from relaxation. Our classes will expose you to get in touch with the true source of your energy, which is much more than body. It's a combination of mind, body and spirit. Kung Fu, Chinese Martial Internal Arts is a scientific method based on natural system (kinetics) to empower you with:

YOUTH KUNG FU (Self Defense)

Our School Program takes a positive and constructive approach. It teaches students how to respond to situations in a positive manner and to make positive and safe decisions. Guiding our students to be the best they could be, and that they are capable and worth while individuals is part of our school mission.

To provide specialized training for children with the goal of strengthening their Mind, Body, and Spirit. Students will experience noticeable improvement in the areas of self-confidence and self-esteem. Emphasis is placed on developing concentration, focus, self-discipline and self-defense. Children learn character development, self-respect, and respect for others.

At the same time, the program emphasizes the importance of community. It teaches children that they are not alone. Students learn when and how to get help from their peers and adults. The program provides opportunities for parental involvement and teaches parents what they can do to help keep their children stay safe.

Prevention, intervention and education is most effective when parents, teachers, and other members of the community work together to help make childhood a safe and happy place to be.

Our classes follow the basic structure of:

  • Warm up and flexibility exercises of Yoga/ Tai Chi.
  • Learning and practicing sets of Chinese KUNG FU and Indonesian Martial Arts.
  • Exercising by practicing specific segments of self defense sets or forms.
  • Application of the fighting principles and concepts on one or more bullies.

Our mission is to provide and maintain a safe learning environment in which our students can become well balanced through the positive teachings of the Martial Arts.

DEMO TEAM  Each student is motivated and cultivated to become a leader not a follower. Therefore we teach our students how to develop a personal success plan. They develop self discipline in others by becoming role models at home, school and in class. They are required to make and Keep “My best list” action plan.

We recognize those students who lead by example and excellence in our class by inviting them to try out for our school special wining attitude team (S.W.A.T.).

These selected students have made the choice to stand out and dare to be themselves “Warriors of virtues, might for right.”  This team gets invited and participates in demonstrations representing our school in special events.  This special team allows them to grow, bond and learn what fellowship and citizenship truly is. They are “The best of the best.”

ACROBATICS A specialized method of exercise and fitness system which gives the participant the skills of agility, balance, flexibility and strength.  Acrobatics develops and improves physical coordination, mental focus and concentration which give the performer self discipline and self esteem. This dynamic class is taught in a positive and safe learning environment.

It promotes creativity, self expression and as a result great self confidence. Our students are educated and prepared to participate in our fun filled high energy class which challenges them to be the best they can individually be.

We participate in demonstrations and performances through out the year which spot lights them as the star and to celebrate our accomplishments in our end of the year show.

CAPOEIRA

Capoeira is an African- Brazilian dance fight created on the slave plantations of colonial Brazil.  It is a mix of martial arts and dance that weaves strong, fluid kicks and escapes with exciting percussion based music and rhythm. 

Students will learn the basic kicks and dodges (Capoeira emphasizes escaping instead of blocking) along with some basic acrobatics (handstands, cartwheels) and also the music.  No previous experience needed and all fitness levels
welcome.

What is Qi Gong?
Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) is an ancient Chinese energy (Chi) practice. It originated in China over 1,000 years ago. In ancient times healers were extensively trained in Qigong.

Qi means energy. The Chinese character "gong" represents the effort placed into Qi practice as well as the power gained through such practice. Qigong literally means the meditation practice of Qi energy.

Our Qi Gong program uses breathing and physical exercise to facilitate graceful, relaxed movements and postures that along with focus and visualization promotes and circulates life energy (Qi or Chi) for wellness and prevention of disease.

This ancient modality has been used for thousands of years to allow the body's electrical currents flow to heal itself and stay healthy. Qi Gong sitting, standing and moving meditation will improve the strength of your muscles and tendons. It will increase your lungs capacity giving you a greater intake of oxygen and energy.

YOGA
The word Yoga is derived from Sanskrit means union of our mind, body & spirit with the universe. Yoga is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian philosophy to deliver the practitioner from pain and sorrow into health and happiness. Yoga has also been described as wisdom in work or skill full living amongst activities in harmony.
Yoga has evolved to meet the needs of the culture it serves and to fit all ages. Yoga uses specific poses, and breathing exercises designed to purify, heal, and for fitness / wellness. For the practitioners the physical and breathing exercises empower one to go beyond the over stimulation (stress) of a busy day and enter into an inner peace. Our program offers an integrated approach of several modalities of Yoga to give the participant total results.
